Leadership

Alana Villemez

Founder & CEO

I’ve always wanted to be a Community College Marketing Director, but being a military spouse that moves every 2-3 years doesn’t make that easy. With roots in inland San Diego County, I’ve had the privilege of living and working in diverse communities, from South Korea to Hawai’i.

My journey in higher education began as a proud community college graduate of MiraCosta College, where I continued on to California State University, San Marcos to earn my degree in communication. From there, I delved into the world of media and marketing, serving nonprofits, artists, entertainment, and creative agencies.

I’ve spent 8 years immersed in the realm of community college enrollment marketing and outreach, tackling tough questions and crafting strategic campaigns that consistently boost enrollment by 10%-20%.

As the founder and CEO of Most Likely to Succeed, my mission is clear: to champion community colleges as the number one choice for students seeking higher education.

My expertise lies in uniting stakeholders, creating aligned strategies, and implementing marketing enrollment campaigns on a broad scale, spanning states, districts, and consortiums. Some notable partnerships include the Los Angeles Community College District, Orange County Community Colleges (Future BUILT career education), Western New York Works, Inland Empire Desert Regional Consortium (READY career education), and the Washington State Board of Community and Technical Colleges.

The things that bring me joy, besides connecting students to community colleges include: digital collage, kiteboarding, and karaoke. I currently reside in South Korea with my husband and Chatty Catty.

We would love to hear from you. Let us know how we can help.
